Well..As I said in one my previous posts that my marriage photo album has already arrived and I am so eager to watch it, at last when I went to Ahmedabad last week, I had a chance to watch it and I watched it for about 10-12 times as it was really stunning and just out-of-this-world…When I saw it first, I was surprised and amazed to notice that ke It was not that same old and traditional ‘5000-page thick and fat’ photo album which starts to get boring once you are on the 2501 page…But instead, it was a wide-stretched, very thin and digitalized photo album involving a nice arrangement of digital photos(yeah, photos and not a photo!!!) on every page…It covered almost all the important pictures but still the photo album was slim in nature because every page contains at least 9-10 pics which are arranged and joined together in a proper and effective manner and they are all printed on papers which are specially designed for digital photographs…it was really a pleasure for the eyes to watch this new-kind-of album and that too of my marriage…Really Science and Information technology has changed the world and they certainly have made our life easier, more comfortable and richer…I am proud to be a member of IT world…Back to the photo album, it was developed in Mumbai and to my surprise only Mumbai city provides this kind of speciality…I think you will understand the magic of this photo album once you see the pictures because it is indeed very tough to explain it in plain words and text…By the way, following pictures are not actual pictures…I have put the photo album on my bed and then I have clicked them with my Digi Camera..I will put the actual pics once I will get them on a CD from my photographer…Till now enjoy this beauty !!!

P.S: This photo album only includes pics from Gruh-Shanti,Marriage and Sneh-Milan ceremony. Pics of Sangit Sandhya,Reception and other programs are still left. I will update this post once I get all the photos.

This will be a ‘always-keep-on-updating’ post where I will be writing down some of the interesting and motivational quotes from my favourite films…These quotes have inspired me a great deal in every aspect of life and they might prove motivating for you too..So here they go:

(1) This is a quote from the movie called ‘Love Actually’…This movie revolves around 6-7 stories which all illustrate right and proper amount of love, hate, passion, confusion, politics, music and, every other emotion and sensation you can stumble upon…A great movie with some great dialogues…A must watch for all movie maniacs..

Quote:

“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.”

(2) This quote has been taken from a movie Shawshank Redemption’…It is my all time favourite movie and I still watch it once every alternate week…Very inspirational and motivating…Wont write anything about the story because then it will surely be considered as a spoiler and I don’t want to become a spoil spot for the ones who has not watched this movie and planning to watch it soon…But the story of this film revolves around prisoners, their prison life, their friendship-bonding and, their ever-lasting hope to get free from the cage once in their lifetime…A must watch not only for movie maniacs but for every single human being on this planet…Unbelievable movie…It is rated as all-time #2 on IMDB just below ‘Godfather-1’(Yet another classic, its quotes are coming soon!!!)…

Small Quote:

“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies”

Being an ardent cricket fan, I was never-ever keen on watching the star players and the legends getting retired and bidding adieu to the cricket world…I want them to play for lifetime,all-time and at infinite level…But that is never true…Every good thing has to end whether it is life, success or a grand career….In short, the point that I want to convey is, I have never liked that sight when someone is getting out in his last innings or someone is bowling his last ball of his last over of his career…

But if you call it my fortune or misfortune, somehow since last year’ s cricket world cup, I have got this uncanny knack of watching several STAR players getting retired and their ‘last walk’ back to the players-room having wet eyes and tears rolling down on their cheek…what a pity sight that is and I have been victim of that sight several times since last year…But at least I got to see my favourite players last time and got to bid them farewell so I find myself lucky enough..When the world cup 2007 began in March, I was in US…The timings of the matches were morning 6 to 3 in the noon…But because of my job and in the preliminary round most of the matches were meaningless(useless!!), I had to compromise and hence I was not able to watch all the matches…One day, somehow I woke up early and I just switched on the TV…the moment I tuned to the Sports channel, InzamamulHaq of Pakistan got out…That was his last one-day international and his last innings as he resigned from the captaincy and opted to retire from the international cricket because of the dismal performance of the Pakistan cricket team in the world cup,its subsequent exit from the preliminary round and not qualifying for the super-six stages…Whether it was a coincidence or whatever, but the very moment I started watching the match, he got out…he was walking back to the pavilion with tears in his eyes…Players from his own team, the rival team and all the spectators(very negligible though!) present in the ground gave him a standing ovation which this guy rightly deserved…I too felt some kind of uneasiness and I also applauded for the master…The man who laid the foundation for the Pakistan’s only world cup win in 1992 has to depart in a very bitter manner amid Pakistan’s poor performance in the world cup and mysterious death of coach Bob Woolmer…But what a servant he was for Pakistan cricket team as well as world cricket…Few days later, when I switched on TV, I saw Brian Lara getting run out…it was his last match and his last international inning…What a shitty sight that was..Lara is considered as one of the best batsmen the world has ever produced…flamboyant, graceful and a true legend…Perfection personified…he too was awarded a standing ovation with some wet eyes and tears as it was his home ground…Bowing my head down in the appreciation for this living legend…Then in the world cup final, we saw the departure of two more legends of Australia – Glenn Mcgrath and Shane WarneMcgrath was the highest wicket taker of the world cup 2007 and was awarded Man-of-the-tournament trophy…What a farewell that was for him…Record of highest wicket in a world-cup,man-of-the-tournament trophy and, third straight World cup win for Australia…Cant ask for a better moment to bid adieu to the cricket world…For Shane Warne, it was also a great send-off…Taking my Hat off in the appreciation for these two legends!!!…(I have not written much about Mcgrath and Shane Warne because on the personal front, I really don’t like them much because of their mean attitude, their harsh behaviour to fellow players and their malicious tactics to mentally harass the rival players so that they get distressed psychologically and cant perform up to their potential level..But I cant deny that they were just amazing bowlers and can definitely be put in a living legend category)…

Then it was Justin Langer(of Australia) who retired…Russel Arnold(of Sri Lanka) retired…My all time favourite Sanath Jayasurya retired from test cricket…He was the one who changed the game of cricket by his own innovation and by his own hitting style in the beginning overs…It is always an immense and a massive compliment to someone to say they changed the game and was the pioneer of something new…Mcgrath said the same thing about him and he also says in addition to that his storming innings in the 1996 World Cup changed every one’s thinking about how to start innings…He is the only player in the world to score over 12,000 runs and capture over 300 wickets in ODIs…He is also regarded by many critics and supporters as one of the best ODI players to ever play the game…I hope he continues to play one-day cricket at least till the next world cup…

And Today when I switched on the TV in the morning which I usually avoid because I am always late for the office and hence I neither have time to watch TV in the morning nor I have time to read newspaper…but today somehow I got ready early and tuned to sports channel and what I saw…Stephen Flaming getting out in his last test and in his last innings…Aaahhh what a shitty sight in the morning once again…Fleming was never considered a leading batsman in the world but will always be remembered for his marvellous leadership skills and his proficiency in the controlling and managing the resources(Players!!!)…He was a born leader…Has gave New Zealand some real prominent victories just by his innovative leadership tactics and by handling the pressure in the nail-biting situations…But he retired today hence the era of a great leader ends…

The thought that I wont be able to see all these legends in the cricket field, always terrifies me a great deal..Looking back at all these players and their performances will surely make my day and will surely make me smile & the thought that they all have left the cricket field forever will surely fill my eyes with tears…

I salute all these legends for their services to the cricket world and for making us all smile and happy over the period of years!!!

Hurrraaayyyy..I am going to Ahmedabad tonight…Today it’s time to celebrate ‘Holi‘ – festival of colours…But what I am doing right now???Instead of splashing Gulal(Nontoxic, risk-free and safe Coloured Powder), coloured water and water-filled small balloons on my friends and relatives, I am sitting in my cubicle, staring at the stupid 17-inch LCD screen and writing this blog…We don’t have a holiday today..Instead we have a holiday on Monday as it is the day on which noble leader and great fighter Chhatrapati Shivaji was born.

Hence I have a long weekend (i.e. Saturday, Sunday and Monday) to spend in Ahmedabad – my native megacity..So I guess this might surely compensate for my today’s loss and the grief I am having of not getting a holiday on HOLI…

Actually I go to Ahmedabad almost every alternate weekend but this time I have got several reasons to be more happy and joyful for my trip:

  1. Instead of only Saturday and Sunday, I will be getting three days to spend with my family and friends…And also no more getting up early on Monday morning…that means more sleep and more sleep and more sleep…I do hate getting out of bed on Monday morning…Getting-up-early sucks big time…I am surely a Sleep-Loving character…
  2. Three nights in ahmedabad..I am going to grab this opportunity to try my hands on variety of food..One night I may opt for ‘Punjabi Cuisine’…One night I may go for ‘Gujarati Thali’ and last one will fall into the category of ‘Chinese+Mexican+Continental’..All these delicious and mouth-watering dishes will be accompanied by PaniPuri+Chaat+Vada-Pav etc etc which are bound to present their mark on my menu during evening and lunch time…Sounds yummy, huh…I am complete foodie so as Chitrali-my wife and my dad…I am not a voracious eater and I do have a very small appetite but I love trying new food and dishes…
  3. My mom called me yesterday night and she told me that my marriage photo album has at last arrived after two months of time but she also conveyed that the photograph has put some real toiling efforts and labour in creating the album and,you know what,it has turned out be really stunning and out-of-this world…She sounded so happy and excited..I am so much eager and anxious to watch all the photos decorated with I-Don’t-Know what but I am being impatient now…Raring to gooooo…Feeling restless!!!…

I hope my long-weekend trip turns out to be an amazing one…So wishing you all a Happy Holi…Do enjoy this festival of colours with great zeal and enthusiasm but be careful and avoid using toxic and poisonous colour powders instead use water and Gulal…

By the way, someone just told me that a unique position of the moon is going to happen this Friday and hence three different festivals of three very different religions which follow different calendars would occur on the same day…Holi – the festival of Hindus, Id-e-Milad- the festival of Muslims and Good Friday – the festival of Christians will happen on the same day on this Friday(i.e. Today)…Really a unique, blessed and sacred day…

In the next post, I will come up with my wedding ceremony photos…Till then have a great weekend and once again happy Holi – Eid – Good Friday 🙂 …

Hello Readers,

Well, after a few thoughts, I too started blogging…Let me first convey how and why I started blogging and on what subject matters I will be writing down my posts…

How and Why I started Blogging?

Since last six months, I have been transformed into an avid reader of blogs which are written by some my friends, colleagues and also by some random people…They all have written so many interesting articles that I could not resist myself from starting a blog of my own…I also felt the need of my contribution in expressing my ideas/thoughts/reviews about current affairs and getting comments on them..So all these kind people and their motivating articles/posts are the vital source of inspiration for me to start my own blog and to give me a chance to whisper in the world of blogging…

What will I be carving in my blog?

Well, as such till now I have not thought what I will be writing on my blog but may be one can expect my thoughts on current affairs especially in ‘Indian Politics’ and ‘Cricket’ , Some out-of-ordinary things happening in my routine life, about some happy moments I go thru, may be movie reviews some time and, some boring random thoughts which will rush out from my perplexed mind…And yeah, sometimes I may come up with new technology talks and some cool new softwares which I found and used recently…So it will be a bag of mix chocolates…I hope you enjoy them !!!!

Happy Reading !!!
