Yeah !! I am gonna go to watch IPL final at D.Y. Patil stadium in New Mumbai today…Hoping for a great finish!!…

Rajasthan Royals have performed extremely brilliant throughout the tournament…Chennai Superkings had minor hiccups in the middle phase of the tournament but they have bounced back in a grand style and they are on roll now…So it will be a tussle between two giants !! ..

I support our own Dhoni’s Chennai SuperKings !!! .. All the very best !!

Next post will be about my experience of the IPL final match live from the stadium itself –‘Aankho Dekha Aehwaal’ !!

As I had mentioned, my Dell laptop was behaving weird and abnormal – well, the actual problem was found in the keyboard of it..I don’t know how on this earth the keyboard started malfunctioning..I have not spilled milk or coffee on it nor I mishandled it anytime so God knows what has happened-I really don’t have a slightest clue about what might have triggered this problem…The replacement cost was around RS. 5000 but due to the kind suggestion and help from Manishkaka, I have chosen an economical alternative for the temporary basis..It works great with the USB keyboard !!! and it only costs RS.400..So for the short period of time, I will manage with that only..Hence I am returning back to the blog-o-world and will be posting regularly now…A little relief really !!

By the way, how you all guys doing these days??

IPL has almost reached at its peak..As of now, the four teams, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils, have booked their berths in the semi- finals and hence rest of the matches till semis are just formalities…But I am not happy with some of the incidents which took place since last few days..

  • Sehwag was booed by the crowd in Hyderabad and in Kolkata..
  • Yuvraj and his team had to face catcall from the spectators in Mumbai .. At the post-match ceremony, Yuvi angrily said that the mumbai-crowd was pretty one-sided and they should not forget that some of the Kings XI Punjab boys also play for ‘Team India’ ..
  • My blog friend Ashwin states on his blog that he is more loyal to his Chennai team than to our national cricket team.. He even has got a poll for the same on his blog and I guess the local-team-loyals are outnumbering the national-team-loyals..

I really did not like this..This is certainly not a healthy sign..I think the nation comes first..Region comes second..I think that cricket and bollywood are the only two areas where we,Indians, feel patriotic and proud Indians..I mean when Sachin and Sehwag hit Shoaib for flurry of sixes or when Kumble took 10 wicket-haul, didn’t we feel like proud Indians…When Sunny Deol in the movie Gadar shouts “Hindustan zindabad thaa, zindabad hai aur zindabad rahega“..Didn’t we feel great and patriotic..Otherwise we are always busy cursing our motherland for its corruption, polution, population, poverty, dirtiness etc etc..Bollywood and Cricket bind us to gather..they unite us..but today I can see the things are changing..So now if Sachin hits a ton against Australia playing at Ferozshah Kotla ground in Delhi, people of Delhi wont clap and appreciate his efforts and instead will they boo him?? ..

But one soothing indication was given by one of the commentators as he said that even though people right now are divided on the basis of region/city but once Team India starts playing international matches, they will come back to their prior state and will start cheering our players once again with that zeal and enthusiasm that we all have been seeing throughout these years !! .. I hope that happens and that too very soon..

Remember that we are Indians first and then a Ahmedabadi or a Mumbaikar or a Chennai-ite.. So please don’t let regional-bias go over your head !!

An actor by profession, a perfectionist by his work & films and now a rude-jealous-senseless person by his blog and by his writings..That is what Aamir Khan has become recently!!

Aamir was first caught in the controversy when he openly criticized Filmfare awards..I personally believe that he did deserve awards for some of his excellent roles but to come out in open and to criticize filmare awards and its jury members is not a proper way to protest..He has never attended any award functions since then (except Oscars!!) .. Aamir, you have to be in the system to change the system ..

Then, Aamir made a blunder and he became a victim of Gujarati people’s fury and anger when he supported Megha Patkar in her “Narmada Bachao Andolan” without even knowing a single thing about what that project is all about and how it is gonna benefit Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh’s people and farmers by providing them water and electricity 24-Hours..

Then there was a court battle between Aamir and his father for the custody of his mentally-disturbed brother.. It did take a bitter turn in the media…

And recently, Aamir has come out in public and has begun splashing muck on the names of fellow actors especially Shahruh Khan..

Once Aamir was asked by a film-reporter that what do you want to convey to Shahrukh? ..
His reply was: “I just want to ask Shahrukh, how it feels to be No 2??”..
That was rude..That was mean..But the whole incident was taken in a light manner because of sharukh’s grace as his reply was : “”I just want to tell you, Aamir is a dear friend of mine and if he has thought that I am second to him, it’s a great compliment to me.”

But now, Aamir has crossed that thin line which lies between pulling leg & making fun of someone AND the malicious intent to defame and insult someone…

Check out what Amir has written in his latest blog entry:
” I’m sitting under a tree, on the edge of a valley, approximately 5000 feet above sea level. The river Krishna flows far below us snaking its way among the Sahyadri mountains. A cool breeze is blowing, jannat ki hawa (breeze from the heavens), as my mother calls it. Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games ‘Settlers Of Catan’. Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?

Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shahrukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shahrukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shahrukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shahrukh!!!
Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh’s to want to do that. Your guess…All I can say is I’m waiting for him to come over.

Well Shahrukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. “Heel boy, heel. ”

This is totally insane..Why Aamir why??…Why are you losing your dignity…Why are you losing your charm??..Why are you losing your respect??…You are a great actor, not a slightest doubt about that…You have got a tremendous amount of fan following..You are icon and idol for many..Then why are you disappointing us by such coward acts??..Was it necessary to write about the dog??..What was the reason to write this blog??..Just to grab media attention or your inferiority complex is just flowing out..Please put all these jelaous apart and give us great films like ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and lead by example to prove that you truly are a gentleman as shown in your movies..

Update: Shahrukh Khan has again shown his grace and class by taking this in a lighter manner and his reply was : “”I have never bothered about it because I also say a lot of things in fun and I think I also may be stressing somebody else out. I don’t get stressed when friends pass comments like this. Actually, I enjoyed it,”

As Bhavin said, Aamir, you just can’t beat Shahrukh in any department, be it acting, sense of humor, personality, money, awards or fan-following. So it’s about time you stop attempting!

Shahrukh Khan was, is and will be the ‘King Khan’..Real badshah of bollywood !!

My Dell Laptop started malfunctioning just about when I was enjoying my Blog-O-World journey at its peak .. My sweet dear lappy has got some problem and it is behaving abnormally and weird since last few days .. It happens .. You just cannot expect smooth driving all the time in your life .. There will be hiccups .. So no complaints what-so-ever..And, it also becomes difficult to write a blog from office amidst some serious work and tasks assigned to me..

Hence I will return to my blog once my laptop is tip-top and ready to roll once again..Till that time, have a wonderful and blessed time ..

I will be reading your blogs and posting comments meanwhile. . I just cant resist that when I am not writing anything ..

IPL has almost reached its halfway…The first phase was thrilling, exciting and nail-biting almost all the times…Except for one or two incidents, matches were played in a sincere and healthy manner even though they have not been granted ‘International’ stature and the records, which are set or broken, are not gonna find the place in the score book or in the statistics..But still the matches are played in a way they should be played and that is really delightful to watch..I hope this trend and thrill continue till end..

My Observations during the first phase:

  • I have never expected that the IPL will create so much of excitement and buzz in me but it certainly has..Everyday at 8 PM, I do stick to my TV ignoring the bunch of activities and people !! .. It is awesome to watch so many different players of different nationalities get togather and play as a unit..
  • The weakest team Rajasthan Royals’ are at the top of the chart with 5 wins and 1 defeat in 6 games while the strongest team ‘Deccan Chargers’ are at the bottom of the chart with 5 defeats and only 1 win in 6 games…T-20 is so unpredictable!!..Deccan chargers are equipped with stalwarts like Symonds, Gilchrist, Afridi, Gibbs, Vaas, Styris,Rohit Sharma but still they have lost almost all their games..
  • First phase was dominated by Australians and Newzealanders came the close second..Out of the four centuries scored, three were achieved by Australians (Gilchrist, Symonds and Hussey) and one was achieved by Newzealander Mccullam ..
  • After the departure of Australian and Newzealander cricketres to play for their respective nation, drastic decline has been observed in the scoring rate as well as the number of boundaries and sixes hit …During their presence, the score of 190-210 was made few times and it was even chased down by some teams on one or two occasions…
  • Now the Indian young brigade has got the chance to prove them and they are grabbing this opportunity with their both hands…They are really playing well and making their presence felt since last few matches after being overshadowed by other international players in the beginning…Good to see them performing at this level !!
  • T-20 specialists and my favourite players Sanath Jayasurya and Afridi are complete flop in IPL…My all time favourite Sachin has not played a single game..but still I watch IPL with great zeal and enthusiasm…I don’t know why but i think I just love cricket too much !!! .. Just to add, unlike his other teammates, Ponting too had a complete disaster in IPL
  • The graph of the cheerleaders’ dresses are increasing day by day from quite minimal in the beginning to fully covered currently..Indian tradition and values do exist nowadays…
  • As I have predicted here, Shoaib has somehow managed to get a stay on his lifetime ban and he will be allowed to play in IPL…What a turn around !! ..Power of money and political backup did the trick for ShoaibPAKISTAN is really a great country, I must say !!!
  • Last but not the least, the official name given to IPL is ‘Indian Premier League’…After the huge flow out of money and glamour in it, it was given a name ‘Indian Paisa League’ and ‘Indian (Sharad)Pawar League’ … But for me, it has truly become ‘Indian PaisaWasool League’ .. IPL rocks !!

Yeah…1st May was Gujarat’s 48Th birthday..It was the day when Gujarat and Maharashtra were separated from each other on the basis of language spoken in each region…Majority of Gujarati people were granted a new state Gujarat while majority Marathi-speaking Maharashtrian were given a new state Maharashtra…But still many Gujarati stay in Maharashtra and many Maharashtrian stay in Gujarat..These two communities have mixed together so well that it reminds of how sugar gets absorb in milk…

So I am feeling an immense pleasure in wishing Gujarat and Maharashtra a very happy birthday…

Our print & electronic media and pseudo-secularists have tried their level best to spoil the image of Gujarat and Gujarati after Godhra-riots…We, Gujarati, have been given the titles like Murderers, Hitlers, Merchants of death, Hindu fanatics etc etc…But Gujarat has silenced its critics by providing development, safety and a great infrastructure to education and industry areas…Following facts are surely worth mentioning about Gujarat…

1. Gujarat is one of the most prosperous states of the country, having a per-capita GDP 3.2 times India ’s average.

2. If it was a nation it would have been 67Th richest nation in the world above many European and Asian economies like China and Ukraine .

3. Gujarat holds many records in India for economic development: 20% of India ’s Industrial Output · 9% of India ’s Mineral Production· 22% of India ’s exports· 24% of India ’s textile production· 35% of India ’s pharmaceutical products· 51% of India ’s petrochemical production

4. The world’s largest ship breaking yard is in Gujarat near Bhavnagar at Alang.

5. Reliance Petroleum Limited, one of the group companies of Reliance Industries Limited founded by Dhirubhai Ambani operates the oil refinery at Jamnagar which is the world’s largest grass roots refineries .

6. Gujarat ranks first nationwide in gas-based thermal electricity generation with national market share of over 8% and second nationwide in nuclear electricity generation with national market share of over 1%.

7. Over 20% of the S&P CNX 500 conglomerates have corporate offices in Gujarat .

8. Gujarat is having the longest sea shore compared to any other Indian state

9. Gujarat is having the highest no. of operating airports in India (Total 12).

10. India ’s 16% of Investment are from Gujarat .

11. Ahmedabad – the commercial capital of Gujarat is the seventh largest city in India .

12. Surat is the fastest growing city in the world.

13. Gandhinagar is the Greenest Capital City in whole Asia .

14. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad(IIMA) is Asia’s 1 st and world’s 45th ranked management college located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat .

15. Gujarat is the safest state as the Crime rate of it is 8.2 which is the least in India even after considering 2002 communal riots, stated by India Today 2005 report.

16. Gujarat is having least crime against women among all Indian states (excluding Goa).

17. Ahmedabad which is the seventh largest city in India is the lowest in crime rate among all Tier-I and Tier-II cities of India as per National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report.

18. Ahmedabad is ranked 2nd in Real Estate – Ahead of Bangalore,Chennai, Hyderabad , Mumbai & Delhi. 3rd in Policy Initiatives – Ahead of Bangalore , Chennai, Calcutta , Mumbai & Delhi. 4th in Manpower – Ahead of Bangalore ,Chennai, Mumbai & Delhi.

19. Last but not the least, Gujarat has NARENDRA MODI as its chief-minister.

We often do selective listening, and interpret things based on our likes/dislikes & pre-conceived opinions…During Godhra-riots, media’s role was surely questionable and biased…They did ignore the grave incident of Godhra which initiated the fire instead they unfairly focus on the post-Godhra incidents…So media’s intention was just to defame Gujarat and not to uphold the truth…

As I read it somewhere on someone’s blog, I also would surely like to ask following questions to our media:

1. Why does the same media which strives to cover up the bomb blasts of Delhi,Mumbai and Hyderabad, blows Godhra incidents out of proportion? Why the incident of 56 persons who were burnt alive in the train, is completely ignored?

2. How come the killings of 50,000 lives of kashmiri pandits can be just ignored? Even after these many years, 4 lakh kashmiri pandits are still staying in a refuge camp in a very pity situation..Loss of life is same for all cases, and the pain & destruction are unrecoverable for all..Why all these biases??

3. Why the Congress is NOT held responsible for Sikh riots, when its leader Rajiv Gandhi openly defended it by saying “When a big tree falls, the ground would be shaken”..

4. Nandigram riots in West Bengal were certainly a state-sponserd riots against the farmers by CPM(Communist party of India) activists but it never got media’s attention or media’s coverage..

6. M.F. Hussain, a famous painter of India, who has drawn some vulgar and naked paintings of Hindu God and Goddess, is welcomed by our electronic media and pseudo-secularists but the lady Taslima, who wrote about the insane & weird culture and tradition of Islam and tried to show the mirror to all the Muslim priests, has been kicked out of our country and has been given death threats(fatwas) all over the world??..Are Hindus too tolerant or are they too coward??

Is our media really credible and reliable??..It’s a big question to ask and it’s answer is simple NO..Anyways, we have shown the world that even if we were hit by earthquake, riots, floods etc we can still stand up, run and contribute India’s development..Hats off to Gujaratis !!! .. Hats off to Indians !!

Once again a very happy birthday to Gujarat and Maharashtra..Nobody can stop you from growing and flourishing…God bless you..
