… faded in oblivion. Everyday commuting and work keeping me busy like hell.

But even in that busy schedule, I watched two movies recently.

First one was ROCKET SIGH .. It was kind of OK but presented a very good message of honesty and business ethics .. Ranbir really rocked .. next superstar I guess !!

Second one was like a unimaginable unprecedented cinematic experience of life time .. Yeah, you have guessed it right .. It was AVATAR 3D .. It just took my mind away with the story, screenplay, photography and animations .. It too gave a good message of bonding between living entities like animals, humans and trees .. Just felt like I was in a different world .. Kaash I can go and stay in Pandora for a while !!

So Christmas is around the corner so let me wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year..

Slumdog Millionaire” is omnipresent these days .. It’s getting accolades and awards from all the corners of the world .. It has got 9 to 10 Oscar nominations – the supreme and the highest awards of the film industry all over world .. Amitabh Bachhan has criticized the movie for portraying India in a bad – poor light .. Except him and my few other blogger friends, most of the reviewers have praised the film for its concept, direction, acting, screenplay and of course for Rahman’s music .. I watched it few days ago .. I liked the concept very much and I too felt that it could have been made better and it of course does not come in my ‘Worth-Watching’ category of films .. You might feel that I have a shallow taste but I do not have ‘Herd mentality’ nor I follow trends .. I have got my own brain to analyze and review things and that’s what I felt .. This movie is certainly over-hyped and overrated .. It is also certainly meant for the West who has the image of India being very poor, corrupt, full of corruption-slums-prostitution-naked children-beggars and dirty third-world country ..

In last few years, I had watched several off-beat/dark movies which are usually made for so-called intellectual, English-speaking, sophisticated classes and not for masses .. I have analyzed that all these off-beat movies follow the similar trend .. The things which I am going to write in next few lines, you will see those incidents/scenes/things in all these so-called non-commercial art films ..

So to make a critically acclaimed / Oscar nominated off-beat movie, you should:

(1) Include some really very very abusing and vulgar words .. These words should be from Hindi language .. Somehow these Hindi gaalis tend to provide more appeal and influence than the very common English ‘F’ word .. Hard-core swearing must be included 4 to 5 times in the script .. It will be considered as freedom of speech and appropriate as per the situation’s demands by critics and intellectual reviewers ..

(2) Include smooches, lip-lockings and extremely bold love-making scenes in the film .. Critics will praise it as it was the demand and necessity of the state of the film ..

(3) Include a riot scene where a Muslim area or a Muslim dominated slum or a Muslim housing colony is attacked by several Hindu fanatics having Tilak on their foreheads and saffron scarf around their neck .. Misleadingly portray how Muslims of India live in a very scary, pitiful and pathetic situation and they have fear of their lives every second and they are butchered by Hindus every now and then without any reason or provocation .. Intellectuals will stand up and will give you round of applause and standing ovation for your boldness, non-partiality and secularism .. You will be considered very scholar and thinker film maker ..

(4) Show infidelity, extra-marital affairs, wife-swapping, drugs, drinks etc .. Classes will admire you for all these scenes because these things are mere their daily routine in their so-called posh society ..

(5) Try to portray India as bad and as poor as you can .. Show naked children doing potty on rail tracks, show slums, show open drainage lines, show broken roads, show ghetto areas, show beggars, show homeless people etc .. You will be considered as a realistic film-maker ..

(6) Keep the background music as loud as possible so that it can make many dialogues not audible and it cal also keep the critics and film-watchers awake ..

If you can get the right mixture of these masalas in your film, you are bound to get a critically-acclaimed & well-praised movie-maker tag even though 0.005% of the Indian population will watch your movie and out of that 0.001% will really like the movie or at least will pretend the same .. You will be a star next moment ..

Except ‘A Wednesday’ which was really very amazingly shot and directed, I found most of the off-beat movies sheer trash and awful ..

So which off-beat movie you liked in recent years?? .. Do let me know so that I can give it a try and can relate my analysis which I have mentioned above to it ..

Happy off-beat movie watching !! Then Happy yawning !! Then happy sleeping !! Then happy regretting the waste of both – time and money !!

Update: Links of other celebrity bloggers’ blog have been suggested by some of my friends. So I have added them in the end with the credit given to the specific contributor.

Well, I love celebrities .. I wish to become a celebrity one day in my life .. Celebrities love to be controversial at times .. I also have started controversies by posting some gross and nasty comments on some blogs .. I love blogging and many celebrities also have started their own blogs and have begun expressing their thoughts, views and experiences on their respective blogs .. So you know, there are so many resemblance exist between me and the celebrities .. So I can imagine the day when I will come out of the hummer-limousine and walking on the red carpet, people standing(& jumping !!) on my left and right beyond the fence cheering and shouting my name, Indian media telecasting only me and my life and making people bore to death, terrorists threaten to kill me and Indian tax department send me notices just because I am supporting the rival party of the ruling-government .. Ahhhaa, what a sight that is !!

Common, let me get back to my topic without escaping in a Soham’s wonderland and making you close the window of your IE or FireFox err I meant Google Chrome .. You must have started using Google Chrome after reading my this post .. Well, enough of the advertisements of Chrome .. You all know that I love it to the core ..

Coming back to my topic again, since last few days, I have been reading a lot of celebrity blogs and I am thoroughly enjoying it .. I could now know what they think about us(people – in general), their friends, their rivals, critics etc .. It’s so refreshing to read their blogs .. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes they are diplomatic and sometimes they are intelligent too ..

So let me share a list of celebrity bloggers which I found through googling .. I do not read all of them but I thought to share them with you .. You might like them ..

  • Bollywood Celebrities:

1) Amitabh Bachhan: To go to his blog click here ..
He is the star of millennium and heart-throb of millions .. he has always been humble, noble and through gentleman through out his entire life and this quality of his reflects in his writings too .. He is too diplomatic at times and sometimes he is funny too ..

Recently in his last post, he apologized on behalf of Jayaji-his wife for her remarks on Hindi-Marathi language .. This shows how sober he is .. There was no fault of Jayaji .. She just passed a comment to make the moment lighter during the music release of film Drona and urged everyone to speak in Hindi as the film is in Hindi but her comment was twisted completely by Raj Thackeray for political gain and she was literally verbally abused by Raj by saying “Guddi Buddhi ho gayee par akal nahin aayee” .. This is insanely inappropriate .. But in return Jayaji and Amitabhji both apologised for the crime that they have not commited and showed that Bachhan family is the greatest family of the film fraternity ..

2) Ram Gopal Verma: To go to his blog click here ..
This is the funniest blog from the lot .. RGV is shrewd, funny,money-minded, selfish and rude but he is honest and frank too .. He does not hide these ill(qualities) of his and he too admits that he has made mistakes making some of his recent films .. It’s always fun to read his replies to some of the comments made by readers ..

For example,
One reader asked him that what is the thing which scares him the most??.. RGV in his own flamboyant style replied that it’s Karan Johar and his films and that too for obvious obvious reasons .. ha ha ha ..

3) Karan Johar: To go to his blog click here ..
One of the best directors of the recent time .. He is way too diplomatic and sweet in his writings .. But it’s fun to read about his clash with RGV ..

He loves to be controversial .. But writes well ..

An actor by profession, a perfectionist by his work & films and now a rude-jealous-senseless person by his blog and by his writings..That is what Aamir Khan has become recently!!

Aamir was first caught in the controversy when he openly criticized Filmfare awards..I personally believe that he did deserve awards for some of his excellent roles but to come out in open and to criticize filmare awards and its jury members is not a proper way to protest..He has never attended any award functions since then (except Oscars!!) .. Aamir, you have to be in the system to change the system ..

Then, Aamir made a blunder and he became a victim of Gujarati people’s fury and anger when he supported Megha Patkar in her “Narmada Bachao Andolan” without even knowing a single thing about what that project is all about and how it is gonna benefit Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh’s people and farmers by providing them water and electricity 24-Hours..

Then there was a court battle between Aamir and his father for the custody of his mentally-disturbed brother.. It did take a bitter turn in the media…

And recently, Aamir has come out in public and has begun splashing muck on the names of fellow actors especially Shahruh Khan..

Once Aamir was asked by a film-reporter that what do you want to convey to Shahrukh? ..
His reply was: “I just want to ask Shahrukh, how it feels to be No 2??”..
That was rude..That was mean..But the whole incident was taken in a light manner because of sharukh’s grace as his reply was : “”I just want to tell you, Aamir is a dear friend of mine and if he has thought that I am second to him, it’s a great compliment to me.”

But now, Aamir has crossed that thin line which lies between pulling leg & making fun of someone AND the malicious intent to defame and insult someone…

Check out what Amir has written in his latest blog entry:
” I’m sitting under a tree, on the edge of a valley, approximately 5000 feet above sea level. The river Krishna flows far below us snaking its way among the Sahyadri mountains. A cool breeze is blowing, jannat ki hawa (breeze from the heavens), as my mother calls it. Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games ‘Settlers Of Catan’. Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?

Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shahrukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shahrukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shahrukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shahrukh!!!
Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh’s to want to do that. Your guess…All I can say is I’m waiting for him to come over.

Well Shahrukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. “Heel boy, heel. ”

This is totally insane..Why Aamir why??…Why are you losing your dignity…Why are you losing your charm??..Why are you losing your respect??…You are a great actor, not a slightest doubt about that…You have got a tremendous amount of fan following..You are icon and idol for many..Then why are you disappointing us by such coward acts??..Was it necessary to write about the dog??..What was the reason to write this blog??..Just to grab media attention or your inferiority complex is just flowing out..Please put all these jelaous apart and give us great films like ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and lead by example to prove that you truly are a gentleman as shown in your movies..

Update: Shahrukh Khan has again shown his grace and class by taking this in a lighter manner and his reply was : “”I have never bothered about it because I also say a lot of things in fun and I think I also may be stressing somebody else out. I don’t get stressed when friends pass comments like this. Actually, I enjoyed it,”

As Bhavin said, Aamir, you just can’t beat Shahrukh in any department, be it acting, sense of humor, personality, money, awards or fan-following. So it’s about time you stop attempting!

Shahrukh Khan was, is and will be the ‘King Khan’..Real badshah of bollywood !!

This will be a ‘always-keep-on-updating’ post where I will be writing down some of the interesting and motivational quotes from my favourite films…These quotes have inspired me a great deal in every aspect of life and they might prove motivating for you too..So here they go:

(1) This is a quote from the movie called ‘Love Actually’…This movie revolves around 6-7 stories which all illustrate right and proper amount of love, hate, passion, confusion, politics, music and, every other emotion and sensation you can stumble upon…A great movie with some great dialogues…A must watch for all movie maniacs..

“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.”

(2) This quote has been taken from a movie Shawshank Redemption’…It is my all time favourite movie and I still watch it once every alternate week…Very inspirational and motivating…Wont write anything about the story because then it will surely be considered as a spoiler and I don’t want to become a spoil spot for the ones who has not watched this movie and planning to watch it soon…But the story of this film revolves around prisoners, their prison life, their friendship-bonding and, their ever-lasting hope to get free from the cage once in their lifetime…A must watch not only for movie maniacs but for every single human being on this planet…Unbelievable movie…It is rated as all-time #2 on IMDB just below ‘Godfather-1’(Yet another classic, its quotes are coming soon!!!)…

Small Quote:

“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies”
